And Gatland played the victim card with such absurdity I have now lost
all respect for him. Such a whinger it is unbelievable.

In the unlikely even anyone is reading and doesn't know, his
performance was about a TMO decision.

Under advantage a cross kick was "propelled forward" by wing Steff
Evans. Anscombe (Wales FB) and England wing Watson dived to ground the
ball in goal. TJ says try Ref says have look TMO, "try or no try". TMO
says not clear Wales touchdown, ,clear England touchdown first.
Application of "clear and obvious" from TMO led to no try awarded.

Screams from Gatland possibly heard around the rugby world after the
game. Formal complaint about the decision to chief ref (is it still
Joel Jutge?)

Deafening silence when footage showed the faintest of knock-ons when
wing Evans "propelled forward" the ball.

General whinges the ref got the knock on wrong and the touch down
wrong. I think the touchdown was 80-90% likely a try after numerous
replayed but not many angles shown. Though I like benefit of the doubt
for the attacking side, that is NOT the way TMOs are told to interpret
"try or no try".

So for me the TMO was spot on with both the knock on and the
grounding, as neither were clear and obvious. The ignorance and
deliberate posturing in falsehood of media and Gatland respectively
are another of the factors pushing me further away from rugby
nowadays.

It was a good game, close with some excellent performances from Welsh
back row and Handsome second half, and Farrell, Launchbury and even
Brown for England.

There. I feel better for that even though readership may be one or
less.

Good you got that off your chest.
Gatland is a cry-baby. Forget him.

I agree. Most commentators seem to forget that the TMO decides on _all_ available evidence, not just one frame showing Anscombe's finger lightly brushing the side of the ball. I gather "downward pressure" has been removed from the Laws, but that "grounding" remains. In that one frame, Anscombe could just as well be pushing the ball forwards a millimetre. Nothing clear and obvious there. And the problem has been compounded by the RFU's saying officially that the TMO was wrong! Before long they'll be changing the score and the 6N table after the full-time whistle sounds.
