Just been reading some old threads and saw this name as a former
Springbok.

Too bad he wasn't current era. Imagine if he'd done a Tiaan Strauss
and emigrated to Australia. The commentators would have had a field
day.

Great names, some of the Boks. I always thought Hurter was a good one.

Apparently a Human played for the Boks, once.

There's some gems there - Bingo Burger, Saturday Knight, Bubbles Koch,
Carrots Geraghty kind of leap out of the list. Source - Wikipedia, so
could be somebody having a laugh...

Great player. Part of the famous Bok side that won a series in SA.
Flanker - Only about 80 odd kg and less than 6 foot. Small but not
tiny by those days standards.
Came from a wealthy family in the Natal Midlands

Died in a 'shooting accident' when he was in his 30s
It seems (only seen one source) the real story was that he got shot by
the jealous boyfriend/husband of the woman he was seeing.

...die to people who have embraced the use of modern weaponry.
